Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; solves the No. 1 problem with car seats
Too much slack in child car seat straps is a major problem in the child safety industry today. When there is too much slack, it puts children in dangerous situations.rnrnEnter Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122;. After a parent buckles in their child and manually tightens the harness straps, Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; locks the straps in place and prevents them from becoming slack, securing the child in their seat. Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; also gently and continuously pulls on the straps to help take up any excess slack.

Because there’s no slacking off when it comes to safety>
Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; is a slack reduction system. It continuously pulls on the harness straps so they don’t become loose and any excess slack is reduced. Sometimes parents do up a harness without fully tightening it, leaving it slack. When children fidget and move, they also create slack in the harness. This can lead to dangerous situations. Trust Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; to prevent harness straps from becoming loose.

Innovative safety
Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122;
Our slack reducing safety solution works out-of-sight to keep children safer in their car seats.rnrnPlaced within the shell of the car seat, the Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; retractors prevent the straps from becoming loose, making road trips safer for kids.
The specially designed retractors and bowden cables are the workhorses of the Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; safety solution. When the child’s harness is unbuckled, the straps can move in both directions. Once the harness is buckled, the straps move only in one direction to keep the child snug in the seat.
Our buckles and webbing are the heart and soul of our harness systems. Made and sewn with top quality materials in our own production plants and rigorously tested, they work together with Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; to keep children secure while traveling.

Proven safety
At Holmbergs, we go above and beyond when it comes to testing. Our suppliers test all the parts they send to us, and then we retest them, and when we’ve assembled the safety solution, we retest it as a whole. Then we have third-party testers verify our findings.rnrnBecause lives depend on it.

PARTNER STORY
Actively keeping children safe
One of the things we love most about working with BeSafe is their willingness to try new, innovative safety solutions. Like when BeSafe was the first of Holmbergs’ safety partners to implement Holmbergs RollFix™ into a child car seat, the BeSafe Active Retract Harness™.
PARTNER STORY
Bringing child vehicle safety into the 21st century
Being first is something BeSafe excels at. For example, they were the first Holmbergs’ client to integrate Holmbergs DigitalSafety™ into one of their car seats; the BeSafe iZi Turn E-M i-Size.

u003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eA traditional 5-point safety belt harness needs to be tightened firmly by pulling the central adjuster strap positioned between the knees of the child. Holmergs RollFixu0026#x2122; does not have a central adjuster or a strap to tighten the harness. Instead, there is an advanced retractor system inside the seat that helps parents tighten the straps with a ticking sound they can use to determine when the straps are tight enough. Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; prevents the straps from being extended during the ride, keeping them tight for the duration of the ride. The system also gently and continuously pulls on the straps to help reduce excess slack.u003c/pu003e
u003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eThere are two integrated retractors in the child car seat that prevent the straps from becoming slack. When the buckle is open and folded down to its most forward position the straps are free to move in and out. When the buckle is raised for fastening, the straps are prevented from moving out, but will continue to move in until the harness is tight enough. For a proper fit, parents should pull the shoulder straps upwards towards the child’s shoulders and listen for the clicking sound. When the clicking sound stops and they can no longer pull the straps up, they are tight enough. The Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; retractors also gently and continuously pull on the straps to help reduce any excess slack.u003c/pu003e
u003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eThe safety harness straps cannot be extended in the same way as a car seat belt. So, Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; makes it much harder for the child to climb out of.u003c/pu003e
u003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eNo. Once the buckle is in an upraised position, the straps can only be pulled inward toward the back of the child car seat. The child is restrained in the seat as long as the buckle is not open and folded down to its most forward position.u003c/pu003e
u003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eNo. Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; is not automatic. When putting a child into the car seat, a parent has to pull the shoulder straps upward toward the back of the seat as much as they will go. Once the straps are properly fitted, the Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; retractors prevent the straps from becoming loose.u003c/pu003ernu003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eThe Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; retractors also gently and continuously pull on the shoulder straps to help reduce any excess slack. This pulling action is from a spring mechanism and is not motorized. It may help reduce small amounts of slack in the straps, but there is no guarantee that the mechanism can roll up a large amount of slack.u003c/pu003ernu003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eParents should always check to confirm there is a proper fit around the hips and shoulders of the child and tighten the straps manually as much as they can.u003c/pu003e
u003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eThe Holmbergs RollFixu0026#x2122; retractors emit a small ticking sound for every step the harness is tightened. A parent will hear the ticking sound when they are pulling the shoulder straps up toward the back of the seat to tighten the straps.u003c/pu003e
u003cp style=u0022text-align: left;u0022u003eNo. As in all car seats, thick outer clothing makes it difficult to get the safety harness properly tightened for a secure fit. Outer winter clothing should not be worn by a child while sitting in any car seat.u003c/pu003e
