The biggest concern in the Child Safety industry is misuses of car seats. It does not matter how safe the car seat is if it is installed incorrectly in the car or if the child is not properly fastened in the seat. According to a German research, almost 50% of the seat belts in toddler car seats are not tightened enough (Source: German Insurers Association).
Three years ago, Holmbergs started a new development project with the aim to minimize the misuses in the daily use of car seats. The development project resulted in a never-seen-before active harness that has an advanced retractor system integrated into the seat. The retractors continuously pull in the belts and prevent them from being extended. For a tight and secure fit, parents hereby need just to pull up the belts after strapping the child.
Stefan Svensson, Business Director Child Safety, Holmbergs:
“We are very happy and proud to say that Roll Fix™ is launched now!
With this revolutionary harness, Holmbergs has made a new milestone in the history of child safety in cars. Innovation has always been one of our core values which drives our business, and this development proves our strong focus on innovation of safety critical systems for the future.
We are happy to see satisfied parents who have already tried the first car seat model with Roll Fix™ inside, and we look forward to starting discussions with several European car seat manufacturers.
Roll Fix™ – the first active harness on the European market which facilitates the fastening and makes it easy to do it right each time, no matter who is buckling the child.”
